Abstract
Our group project in Corporate Media Production was to produce a film that highlights the biology department here at CWU to encourage current students and incoming freshmen to join. We spent fall quarter going out and shooting in the field while also capturing footage in the classroom and lab settings. We interviewed students as well as faculty and staff in the biology department. This video highlights the creative work that the biology department does in their introductory and upper level classes. Our group worked hard to produce a video that would thrill our client and bring positive promotion to CWU as an institution. It is really important for a university to work together with students so management can utilize the student’s talent, while the students gain valuable experience in return. We learned more about working for professional clients in this class then we would in a class where we sit and research corporate media production.
