Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess students’ and older adults' perceptions about older adults (i.e., those 65 years or older) and the aging process. The results may provide insight about attitudes and biases that students and older adults have about the aging process and ageism. Results may lend themselves to the education of young people to improve their interactions with older adults either in family interactions or within society. This research may also provide education that may improve a young person’s self-aging perception. This present research may also provide insight into older adults and their personal biases towards the aging process.
