Description

This image shows the 1918 fire's destruction along 1st Street, Cle Elum, Washington. No. 1 on the image marks Schober's Store. No. 5 marks the State Bank. No. 6 marks where the Laundry was rebuilt, remaining until the 1940s when it was torn down. Notice that the two-story Wilcox house (brown at the top/light at the bottom) next to Crutchers survived the fire. The Rotholisberger house burned and Crutchers bought the lot and built their home on it in 1950. Caption: "This picture is to be recorded as a donation in the name of Alice Joyce (Stoves) Crutcher."
