Abstract
The purpose of this study is to consider the many ways basketball can be made safer for the individual participants. In organizing this paper, the author hoped to gain further insight into just one of the many areas of safety. He believes this material can be useful not only for the basketball coach, but for all individuals interested in protecting one of our nation's most priceless possessions--its children.
