Ancient Forest Trees of the Sagebrush Area in Central Washington

The petrified logs and trees of the Russell forests in central Washington are of unusual interest because of the great diversity of species represented. This article gives information concerning the local distribution and abundance of 37 woods, with brief descriptions of some of their salient characteristics.
