Description

Cle Elum Ridge in the background can be seen looking north down Pennsylvania Avenue across the Northern Pacific Railroad tracks. The Central Annex and the large wooden Central Hotel are on the left and the Northwestern Improvement Company's Cle Elum branch store is on the right. A dentist office, drug store and the well known Sunset Café were on the west side of the street.Postcard titled, "Pennsylvania Avenue, Cle Elum, Wash." Handwritten note in ink addressed to Alice Burnworth, Forest Grove, Ore. dated July 18, 1917, Cle Elum, Wash. The note was to "Dear Sister" from Bill.
