Abstract

This is a project report on a Process Drama piece conceived for Shortridge Middle School students in Indianapolis, Indiana. This project entailed the selection, background research and documentation of Thorton Wilder's Our Town, decisions about concept and themes to aid in its direction, and preplanning the layers to build structure so students at Shortridge Middle School could inquire, investigate, explore, and create their own interpretation of the play. The analysis includes a discussion as to the non-traditional directorial vision of this production.
