Abstract

Prospective student-teachers need to be aware of the responsibilities to be assumed. A variety of activities should be made available to the student teachers and the student teacher should be aware of and take advantage of the activities available to him. Administrators, supervising teachers, and college supervisors should provide broad and varied experiences within the cooperating school, the cooperating student-teaching center, and within the community. Lay persons should fully understand the student-teaching program in their community. A description of the types of student-teaching experiences necessary in answering these needs has not heretofore been compiled. It is the purpose of this thesis to provide such a description.
