Abstract
The paper describes a new and improved method of isolating and purifying xanthine oxidase and includes inhibition studies involving a number of reagents which are structurally related to the substrate or to other inhibitors of xanthine oxidase. The inhibitors studied are classified as to type, and inhibitor constants are reported.
