Abstract
This curriculum provides guidelines to aid secondary regular home economic and special education teachers in preparing special needs students for independent living. The project included units on cooking skills, money management, and family planning. Each unit was sequenced into skills and included a pretest/posttest, suggested learning activJtics, monitori11g procedures, and possible resources. A follow-up evaluation form, to be filled out by the teachers and students that utilize this course design, will measure the suc.cess of the project.
