    Description

    At the north end of Anderson Street on 8th Avenue is located the first building on the Washington State Normal School campus. Barge Hall, named after first president Benjamin Barge, was build in 1893-1894. The structure provide classrooms for students and offices for administrators and faculty members. The south or main face of the building has become one of Ellensburg's best known landmarks.
