Description
Looking north the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad yard and tracks can be seen bordering South Cle Elum. Only a few houses and stores had been built at this time. Postcard titled "South Cle Elum, Wn." An L.B. Waters photograph. The Johnson Brothers Store can be seen to the right and the original location of the old two story bunkhouse left of center above the water tower. The bunkhouse was later moved about 1920 across the tracks onto Marie Street and a wing added to it. The bunkhouse still stands and is now the Iron Horse Bed and Breakfast.
