Description
Looking east down First Street toward Cle Elum two miles away, many of Roslyn's original wood frame buildings can be seen. By the early 1900s, Roslyn had a growing population of several hundred people. Miners and their families who moved to this coal mining region from all parts of the United States and Europe created a unique ethnic mix of people.Handwritten on front of photograph in black ink, "First St. Roslyn Wn."
