Description

This photograph features the Roslyn Branch of the Cle Elum State Bank in 1935. This building is located at First Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Roslyn, Washington.

In 1906 A. S. Paul, a contractor, constructed the Cle Elum State Bank, which had been organized in November 1904. Also housed in this building were the offices of G. P. Short, attorney; Cascade Lumber Company, and the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company. In 1955, the bank celebrated its 50th anniversary with President Frank Carpenter who had been in this position since 1904.
