Description
Crowds of people walk east along Third Street (Avenue) from the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot toward downtown Ellensburg. It was six blocks from the train depot to the major business district of Ellensburg. When the train arrived hotel carriages provided transportation for visitors and travelers. Henry Kleinberg's large hay and grain warehouse is on the right. Small cafes and lodging houses lined Third Street. R. P. Tjossem & Son's warehouse can be seen in center of photograph.Postcard titled: "Third Street looking east from N.P. Depot, Ellensburg, Wash. 1754." Handwritten note in ink written in Swedish from Vas Ladislan.
