Description
Students or faculty stand at the main entrance of Barge Hall the first building of the Washington State Normal School. The building constructed in 1893-1894 provided classrooms and offices for students and faculty. The large four story brick building located on the north side of 8th Avenue between D and E Streets has long been a well known Ellensburg landmark.
