Abstract

Historically, the approach to teaching the special education child, who has learning difficulties, has been one of following the regular course of study but going more slowly than with the academically able student. However, junior high school special education students need to be motivated by techniques that go beyond existing methods. The initial purpose of this investigation was to explore "new methods" as a means of improving teaching techniques.
