Abstract
The Intermediate building of the Wapato School District administered the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills twice during the school year. The primary purpose of this testing was to measure the annual growth in skills of each student. The ITBS was used to measure those skills gained between the fall and spring testing. The results of the comparison of the spring and fall testing reflected that students were not gaining a school year's advance on the test results for a school year's instruction. The study was undertaken to determine the appropriateness of the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills to the course of study in the Intermediate School of the Wapato School District.
