Abstract

This paper examines and presents the outlaws of the 1860 's. A parallel between the gruesome reality of yesterday 's gunmen and today 's "Charles Mansons " was drawn. Additional exploration revealed that to some, the outlaws were as Robin Hoods or heroic daredevils while to others they were mere petty thieves and cheap murderers.

To capture on paper the badmen 's extreme violent life style and to do so realistically was the challenge. It was achieved through various uses of a variety of mediums.
