Abstract
The specific problem dealt with in this study was the evaluation of existing physical education instructional programs at five community colleges in the State of Washington. The purposes of this study were to: (1) determine the present status of philosophy and objectives of physical education, (2) determine the role of administration in developing general principles and policies as they relate to the instructional program, (3) determine the instructional programs of physical education at the selected community colleges, and (4) determine the evaluation methods used at each of the community colleges as these methods relate to the instructional program of physical education.
