Abstract
The bull snake, Pituophis melanoleucus, was chosen for this experimentation for several reasons; (1) it is relatively abundant in Central Washington (2) it is a large snake, well able to withstand the effects of the frequent blood samplings which were necessary in this experimentation ... (3) the bull snake is an oviparous snake and ova development is rapid and after dissection, obvious.
