Abstract
The main purposes of this paper have been (1) to examine the various structural ambiguities in English, (2) to see what the traditional approach has been regarding ambiguities, (3) to apply transformational processes and explanations whenever possible, and (4) to give some specific methods for removing ambiguities from written English.
