The article focuses on the attitude of students towards mathematical explanations. It includes the views of president of the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers Peter Sullivan on Australian Curriculum Mathematics. It also includes information on students' reasoning on mathematical connected explanation to their prior knowledge.
