Abstract
This project aims to convey actuarial concepts to individuals not well rehearsed in the discipline by providing a simple, easy to understand tool that allows the user to custom-build an insurance product. By allowing the user to choose a number of options related to insurance benefits, annuities, and payment plans, they can learn about some of the options available to them and how the product’s pricing is influenced by these choices. The prices are calculated on-the-fly using an illustrated life table.
