Description
Salmon la Sac Depot was built by the Kittitas Rail and Power Co. in 1912. It was abandoned by 1914 due to the withdrawal of French capital in WW I and failure to get solid hard rock mining contracts from mining interests in the area. This depot is now on the National and State Historic sites list. After 1914 the depot was converted into a Federal Forest Service headquarters.
