College of Education and Professional Studies

The College of Education and Professional Studies aims to prepare competent, enlightened citizens who will enhance their respective professions, commit themselves to socially responsible leadership, and help develop the global economy in a spirit of cooperation.

CEPS operates through twelve departments, including Advanced Programs; Aerospace Studies; Aviation; Educational Foundations and Curriculum; Family and Consumer Sciences; Engineering Technologies, Safety, and Construction Management; Information Technology and Administrative Management; Language Literacy and Special Education; Military Science (Army ROTC); Nutrition Exercise and Health Science; Physical Education, School and Public Health; and Teaching Elementary, Adolescent and Young Children.

The college offers bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as teacher certification. CWU’s Teacher Preparation Program is approved by the Washington State Board of Education to offer programs that lead to said certification.
