Abstract

The purpose of this project was to provide an effective supplement to the phonics based kindergarten reading readiness program used in the author's school district. It is an across-the-curriculum, all inclusive reading readiness program that emphasizes the letter names and sounds being studied, as well as language skills. This supplemental material is in the form of an activity book for the teacher. The book is deisgned to be used in conjuction with the materials used in the basal's kindergarten readiness program.
