Abstract
This composition was created to be performed specifically by Junior High School choirs.
The text, in three sections, is enhanced by various musical stylistic elements. Melodic lines for the most part are conjunct and monotonic. Harmonic concepts are influenced by variations in major and minor modes. Textures, primarily homophonic, are basically identified by the voicing and the juxtaposition of various parts. Rhythms and meters are determined according to the speed patterns, and the poetic flow of the words.
