Abstract

This paper presents an investigation of how the role of the administrator in school and community relations effects the success or failure of school programs. The administrator's personal attributes and their impact on the community, his knowledge of the community, and his use of the media at his disposal are examined through research articles, surveys, and other publications. Problem areas are indicated, and solutions successful in some communities have been suggested as gathered from the review of the articles.
