Abstract

This project presents the development of a parent and student handbook for Sunnyside Christian School. The handbook was designed to clearly define the philosophy, basis, admissions policy, rules, regulations, procedures, and general information important to the parents and students. This is the first comprehensive handbook in the thirty-three year history of the school. The handbook was developed with input from faculty, Board, parents, and supporting groups within the school community. Handbooks from other schools, private and public, were used to aid the development of the project. Recommendations included involvement of as many groups and individuals as possible, organizing the handbook in loose-leaf format, and annual review and revision.
