Abstract

Becoming a college student can be daunting, but not having accessible buildings, technology and welcoming environments can add to the challenge. There are many process, systems and efforts which intend to achieve a social reform, among the policies, the American with Disability Act is a policy to ensure the equality of people with disabilities. The social reform has many stages and can be applied to any environment of people lives. To further investigate the effort to achieve inclusion in a college setting I completed my internship at Highline College in the Access services department. To identify the services which provide an equal and diverse user experience; a focus on important factors that contribute to vital user experience such as technology, structures and the approach towards inclusion.
