Abstract
A door curtain in Japan supplied the Shibori fabric for this design, a Naga Chokki, which is a style of long vest worn for warmth. It is interlined and quilted in white to emphasize the bamboo design. A one-inch bias binding on all edges is functional as well as decorative and accentuates the deep square armscyes and side slits. The little hat is braided of Japanese indigo prints. The Naga Chokki is worn over an off-white noil, long sleeved top and elastic waist pants that are long and wrinkled at the ankle.
