Abstract
The handbook, Encouraging Creativity In The Elementary School - an art handbook, was written to fill a need in the Kennewick School District. A three year process to develop a new art curriculum was started in the fall of 1984. During this process the need to provide the elementary teachers with adequate material to implement the new art curriculum was identified. A resource guide in the form of a handbook was decided on as the method to supplement the art curriculum for the elementary teachers.
