Abstract
This study investigated the relationship between Undergraduate
Grade Point Average and Graduate Grade Point Average, and the relationship
between Graduate Record Examination test scores and Graduate
Grade Point Average. The sample population included 678 graduate
students majoring in Psychology, Biology, Education, Physical Education,
or Music, who attended Central Washington State College
between 19 64 and 19 68. Results of the study indicate that Undergraduate
Grade Point Average and Graduate Record Examination test scores should
be correlated with Graduate Grade Point Average by individual departments
as levels of significance were shown to vary markedly from one department
to another.
