Abstract
The hope for good speech lies in beginning with the kindergarten, and extending on through the other elementary levels. An integrated course of study has been worked out in this state by the Washington Speech Association with that goal in mind. The task of the teacher training school is to prepare all teachers for their part in that program, no matter in what grade, or subject, or activity they may be interested. Every teacher is a teacher of speech and should be so prepared. How can the fundamentals of speech course in the teacher training school supply that preparation in the most helpful, interesting manner?
