Abstract
Learning by doing in the college classroom or through in-service training provides teachers with an efficient means for acquiring knowledge of methods and materials.
Our Colleges of Education and Teachers Colleges are the logical centers for the training of teachers in the use of audio-visual aids. In order to do this they shall find it necessary to invest in projection equipment, auditory equipment (sound recorders, phonographs, and radios), and a great variety of material, including films, slides, film strips, still pictures, maps, lantern slides, and so on. A recent survey of over one hundred teachers colleges revealed that much more attention needs to be given to this phase of teacher education.
